Check Your Snail Mail!

Books are rolling in fast now, folks!  Some folks got theirs yesterday, some are getting them today, and I expect even more will come between now and May 9th, when they were scheduled to be delivered!

This is exciting! My real, tangible, paperback books are being delivered to houses all over the country!

All right, backers and readers out there.  Your support has been excellent! I couldn't have made it this far without you! If you receive your book, read it, enjoy it, and want to leave me a review on Amazon, you can find my paperback sales page here:
http://www.amazon.com/Gatehouse-Door-Canellin-H-Jones/dp/061547876X/

And my Kindle sales page here:
http://www.amazon.com/Door-Canellin-Gatehouse-ebook/dp/B004WXF2C2/

Reviews are vitally important to an author! The review, cover, and jacket blurb are all a reader has to go by to decide if they want to buy the book. The more reviews I have, with honest opinions of people who have read the book, the better!
But as important as reviews are, they aren't as important as spreading the word. A review is only useful if someone actually gets to my sales page! If no one looks for the book, no one finds the book, so no one sees the review! Most of you, if you enjoy fantasy novels and The Door to Canellin is your kind of book, have a few friends that also enjoy them. Pass the word along! Have them check it out!

Okay, that's my blatant self-promotional jaunt for the day.  Now, the next question is: what topic should I discuss next on this blog? I've covered a few of the more interesting (in my opinion) aspects of what I know of the publishing world in previous posts. I think in the next post, I'll talk more about marketing, virtual book tours, advertising, and what I'm doing to promote my work.  After that, I'm not sure what I'll follow up with. If anyone has any suggestions or requests for a blog post topic, feel free to share!

  1. Congrats. I bet it's exciting to know that your books are going to people's homes right now.

I've been recommending your book when I can over on the forums on Amazon, so hopefully someone takes the hint and tries it out.

So I wish you good luck on making tons and tons of sales.

Anyways, I have no idea what to suggest of request for a blog topic post. Your planned talk about marketing, advertising, and promoting is exactly what I'm looking forward to though.
